For some reason an alert called from my script (with alertAction.run2) does not send the email message even though the ticker gets marked with alert flag and the test email settings works. Are there other settings needed?

Do you have the Suspend External Alerts option selected under the Options menu? Is the correct destination email specified in the alert action?

Anatoly, I just verified that "external alerts" is not checked and the action name is shown as "Send Email to <the correct email address>". Anyway I checked on and off "external alerts" with no differences. The action gets executed, the email is not send. BTW, I am using PSM 8.7, build #317.

If the action is executed based on an alert within the software, as opposed to being called from script, does it send email then?

No, it does not send the email even with the native psm alerts.

Thanks,

It works now. I re-edited the email address and alert name. I have no idea what it was because the address had been correct. Could be some blank space in a wrong place or '@' in action name (which i removed) or something else.
