I don't see how to configure alert emails?

I've search the doc, forums, etc. and I don't see how to do this?

Am I missing a plug-in?

Thanks,
John

John,

Assuming your mail server settings are configured under Options->Preferences->Email Settings you just create a new alert action under Account->Alerts->Edit Alert Actions. Set Send Email as the action, fill in your email address, and associate the alert action with the alert.

Anatoly,

OMG! I now see that sending email isn't a default action. You have to click the ... and create a new action where the action type is send email!

Totally not obvious or documented.

Also, as a follow question. How do I configure PSS to work with gmail?

How do these settings translate into PSS settings?

Thanks,
John

PS. I'm a recent convert from Microsoft Money Plus. I'm still getting use to PSS and I will have additional feedback for you. I think PSS has some real potential.

Actually if you're using the latest version, there may have already been a send email alert action created for you. But in any case, you still have to configure the email server.

mail server: smtp.gmail.com
port: 465
select "my mail server requires authentication"
select "use SSL"

enter your full email address in the User Name field, and your gmail password in the Password field.
