I downloaded and started using Personal Stock Streamer just 2 mths back and i can that it is one of the best in terms of features.

But i have a couple of issues with charts.
1. I consitently get incorrect intra-day prices in the charts. I understand that the charts should use the prices streamed from my broker account server. if that is the case then why do i still see incorrect prices in this charting tool and not the one available in my broker account.

2. I have tried to use the symbols for indexes from my broker account in lieu of not been able to find symbols in PSS. But these symbols dont work.

3. I do not get volume data for any index (especially DJIA and S&P).

I would appreciate your help in getting this fixed.

My Brokerage A/C is with TD Ameritrade.

Thanks.

1. Please provide a specific example, that is the only way we can see this for ourselves.

2. Should be the same symbols as at the brokerage, however they may not be available through the streaming server because actually we have to use a different server than the brokerage web site uses. In any case, again we will need a specific example to compare. Also, make sure the same index ticker is available in their Java streamer; since the Java streamer uses the same servers as our software, it should give the same results.

3. Again, this depends on the server. If the server isn't sending us the volume data, we can't display it. In this case the server is not sending us volume data.

Unfortunately there is little we can do because we don't control the data coming from the TD AMERITRADE server. We just make the requests to the server, but the server does not have to provide data for everything. It also doesn't provide historical options data, whereas the web site does.

Thanks for the response.

Here are some examples:

 a. ISRG: the high price on Oct 16 was 215.05 but the chart shows 240.
 b. GOOG: All high, low & close prices are incorrect on Sep 30.
 c. SXE: The low for Oct 16 was 22.86 but the chart shows 30.45.

As for indexes:
 1. when I enter $COMP it says the symbol is of Dow Jones Composite
but when i enter ^COMP it correctly says NASDAQ Composite.
 2. If i enter $AIG for DJ AIG Commodity index, then it doesnt recognise it.
 3. ^DJI or $INDU or $DJI (all DJIA symbols) gives the Oct 30 open as 11,626.19.

If TD Ameritrade provides all this data why can't it be communicated to them that they have to provide accurate data, especially so since they recommend PSS as their partner tools.

Also wanted to check whether the Accumulation/Distribution indicator was working since it gave wrong results for TRA.

Thanks.

When we have specific examples of incorrect data, I can pass that to our contact at TD AMERITRADE. w/regards to your examples, I have confirmed that it's an error at their servers, and I will pass this information to the TD AMERITRADE technical staff so they can get it fixed.

As for the indexes.

1. All valid index symbols at TD AMERITRADE start with the dollar sign, however we do some ticker symbol remapping of Yahoo tickers for customers coming from that server. Yahoo index tickers start with the circumflex, and there do appear to be a couple of issues that we will have to look into for a future release. In the meanwhile you can use ^COMP or ^IXIC for the nasdaq composite.

2. I have confirmed that this is a TD AMERITRADE server problem, and I will report it to our contact.

3. ^DJI maps to $INDU, which is also experiencing the problem you identified for the tickers above. I will report it to TD AMERITRADE. However $DJI shows the correct data.

Thanks for reporting these problems. If you find any other discrepancies please let me know at support@personalstockstreamer.com and I will forward the information to TD AMERITRADE.

Thanks for the confirmation. Will report the issues as i see them.

Also wanted to know about the correctness of the indicators such as CMF and AD. I find their calculation not correct.

The calculations are correct as far as I know. What are you comparing them against? Again, specific examples please, with tickers and all parameters. Screenshots would be helpful as well, you can send them to me at support@personalstockstreamer.com.
