I am having this same problem, however, it appears to occurr intermitantly. Sometimes when I open an Intraday Chart everything works fine, however, at other times If I open an Intraday Chart, it crashes the whole program.

I have had this same identical problem at other times, ie, when Logging In to my TDA Brokerage Account, and also when Logging In to CollabInvest. These have happened less frequently than the Intraday Chart.

We have tested this with the latest release and are so far unable to reproduce the problem. So I will need to ask for more details so that we can figure out a solution. Which quote service are you using? Does it display an error dialog with information? If it does, please email this error information to me at support@personalstockstreamer.com. Does it crash for historical charts? Does it crash on all ticker symbols or just some?

The PSS program crashing has stopped, at least as of today. I will keep you updated on this.
When the PSS program was crashing, an error dialog was not created. The program was just shut down. The only change to my system since I started this support post is, I uninstalled MarketBrowser.

http://www.marketbrowser.com/mbzzzq2.asp as you may know.

I use TD Ameritrade as my quoting service.

Thanks

Since posting this problem, I have not experienced any problems with PSS. On purpose, I tried to make PSS crash by repeatedly opening and closing the Intraday and Historical Charts and everything worked fine.

As I posted in my initial report, the problem only appeared intermittantly. Since then, I haven't experienced any crashes.

It happened again today. There was no error message, PSS just crashed (closed down). Here are the steps that led up to the crash.

1. Started PSS.
2. Logged In to TD Ameritrade.

Note. Preferences are set to log into CollabInvest automatically after Logging in In to Brokerage.

3. Clicked on Stock Symbol to highlight it.
4. Clicked on Intraday Chart icon on toolbar.

PSS crashed when I clicked on the icon on the toolbar for Intraday Charts.

Note: I immediately ran PSS again, followed the same steps as outlined above and everything worked just as it should with no problems. As I said in my first post this problem happens intermittantly and there is no distinct pattern that I have noticed that will cause it.

What operating system are you running? XP, Vista Business, Vista Home, etc?

What kind of internet connection do you have? (i.e. specifically do you use a satellite disk connection?)

When it crashes does it give you a crash dialog with some technical information in it or does the app simply disappear? (if the former, please copy and paste that info and send it to us.)

Operating System is Windows XP Professional.

Internet Connection is DSL (Direct Connection, NO Satellite).

There is no "Error Message" or text of any kind, PSS simply disappears.
